WTO Essay Award for Young Economists 2019 (Fully Funded)
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is inviting young economists to submit their research papers for the 2019 WTO Essay Award for Young Economists Program. This prestigious award recognizes exceptional research in the field of trade policy and international trade cooperation. One outstanding paper will be selected for recognition.
A prize of CHF 5,000 will be awarded to the author(s) of the winning essay. In the event of two authors submitting the same winning essay, the prize will be divided equally between them.
The winning essay will be announced at the annual meeting of the European Trade Study Group (ETSG).
Following the submission of your paper, an academic panel will review all submissions and select the best paper. The professors who will be part of this panel are listed below.
Important Note: The eligibility criteria remain unchanged even if there are two authors for the same Essay.

It is paramount that the author(s) take responsibility for ensuring the publication of their contribution in a journal.
Essay Submission Deadline: May 31, 2019.
Shortlist Announcement: June 14, 2019
Selection Panel Decision: July 10, 2019.
Award Ceremony: September 2019 (Bern, Switzerland).
