Financial Benefits:
The UNIL Masters Scholarship 2024 in Switzerland is a partially funded scholarship offering a monthly stipend of CHF 1,600. This stipend is provided for a period of 10 months per year, starting from 15 September and ending on 15 July. The scholarship duration is either 1.5 years or 2 years, depending on the specific master's program. It's important to note that the scholarship award is not sufficient to cover all living expenses in Switzerland.

The following programs are ineligible for scholarships:
- Master of Medicine
- Master of Education
- Master of Law (Universities of Zurich and Lausanne)

- Master of Science in Health Sciences
- All Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) programs (PhD programs)
Important Notice: The Master of Law scholarship program is accepting applications for only two specializations: "international and comparative law" and "legal theory".
Required Document:
To apply for the award, applicants must submit the following document:
- Application form, completed and duly signed
- Passport-sized photograph, inserted in the application form (in JPEG format)
- Copy of your secondary school diploma. A certified/notarized translation of any diplomas not written in French, German, English or Italian is required.
- Bachelor's Degree Certificate
- Copy of the program description of the last semester of your bachelor degree, if the degree has not yet been obtained
- Updated CV (How to Write a Perfect CV)
- Cover letter
- Two original letters of recommendation from the candidate's lecturers, in sealed envelopes.
- Copy of the language proficiency certificate in which the master is taught (TOEFL or IELTS for English and DALF or DELF for French). B2 is the minimum level required to follow the course.
- Copy of your passport or identity card
- Proof of payment of the CHF 200.00 administration fee (application processing fee)

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- To possess a foreign university degree recognized as equivalent to a bachelor's degree at UNIL, prior to the commencement of the master's program at UNIL.
- To have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements during your studies, particularly through outstanding results.
- To have a language proficiency level of at least B2 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) in French, or at least C1 in English, depending on the language of instruction for your chosen master's program.
- To have never been enrolled at UNIL.
- To have paid the CHF 200.00 administration fee (refer to the document titled "List of documents to attach to your application").
Application Deadline:
The application deadline for Université de Lausanne Scholarships 2024-2025 for International Students is 1st November 2023.
- 1 November: Application deadline
- November-December: The Social Affairs and Student Mobility Office (SASME) and the Admissions department (SII) process applications.
- December-January: The SASME notifies candidates whose applications are incomplete or have not been accepted by the admissions department that their scholarship application has been unsuccessful.
- January-February: Complete applications are forwarded to the faculties for eligibility assessment for the chosen master's degrees.
- February-March: The SASME informs candidates whose application has not been accepted by the faculty.
- March: The selection board for master's scholarships chooses the candidates who will be offered a master's scholarship.
- Early April: Candidates are notified of the selection board's decision.
Applying for a UNIL Masters Scholarship
To be eligible for a UNIL Master's Grant, you must submit an application for admission to the master's degree program through the Admissions Department (SII).

- The application for the Masters scholarship also serves as an application for admission to your chosen masters program and for registration at UNIL.
