The Ritsumeikan University Scholarship 2026, sponsored by the MEXT Japanese Government, offers fully funded opportunities for international students to pursue Master's or PhD degrees in Japan. Established in 1900, Ritsumeikan University is a leading private institution in Kyoto hosting approximately 35,000 students. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees, provides a monthly allowance between JPY 143,000 and 145,000, and includes round-trip airfare. Eligibility requires applicants to be from countries with diplomatic ties to Japan, born after April 2, 1991, and possess a minimum CGPA of 2.30 out of 3.00. While English proficiency is required (CEFR B2 equivalent), applicants can be exempted from IELTS/TOEFL if their previous instruction was in English. - English Proficiency Certificate from previous university (exemption from test)
