About This Scholarship
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modeling and Management (GEM) is a prestigious, fully funded scholarship program. It is designed for international students aiming to build global careers in environmental leadership, climate-smart planning, and geospatial decision-making. The program is a collaboration between four leading European institutions: the University of Tartu, Lund University, UCLouvain, and ITC-University of Twente. Students select one of four specialized tracks: Geospatial Planner, Geospatial Analyst, Geospatial Developer, or Geospatial Modeller. Each track involves studying at two different partner universities, offering access to cutting-edge technology and a vast academic network. The scholarship package includes full tuition fees, comprehensive health insurance, and a monthly stipend of 1400 to cover living and mobility expenses for up to 24 months. GEM equips students with the interdisciplinary skills required for the digital and green transitions, focusing on environmental modeling, geospatial science, and policy applications.
