Erasmus Mundus DENSYS Scholarship 2026 for International Students
Fully funded 2-year European Master's in Smart Energy Systems across France, Sweden, Italy, and Spain with €1,400 monthly stipend.
About This Scholarship
The Erasmus Mundus Decentralized Smart Energy Systems (DENSYS 2.0) is a two-year Joint Master Degree (EMJM) funded by the European Union. This multinational program focuses on contemporary energy systems, moving beyond centralized power plants to spearhead the transition toward clean energy, smart grids, and renewable integration. The program is taught entirely in English across a consortium of prestigious European engineering schools. Students spend their first year at the Université de Lorraine in France for core training, followed by a semester of specialization in either Sweden (KTH), Italy (Politecnico di Torino), or Spain (UPC). The final semester is dedicated to an internship or master's thesis, often in collaboration with industry partners. The scholarship is comprehensive, covering 100% of tuition fees, providing a monthly stipend of €1,400 for up to 24 months, and including travel reimbursements, installation allowances, and full health insurance. It aims to develop engineers capable of designing and managing complex decentralized energy systems including distributed renewable generation, energy storage, Energy-to-X technologies, and smart digital energy management.
