Rudd Scholarship 2019 (Fully Funded)
The **Rudd Scholarship 2019** is now accepting applications from Kansas residents. This program is designed for individuals who qualify for a Pell Grant and possess the tenacity and dedication to achieve their long-term goals. The Rudd Scholarship embodies the Midwestern values of humility, hard work, and integrity that make Kansas and its people exceptional. It aims to empower the brightest minds in Kansas to remain in the state and contribute to its growth by establishing new businesses, educating its youth, leading its communities, and achieving excellence in all their endeavors.
The Rudd Scholarship is a competitive, four-year award designed to cover any remaining expenses related to tuition and fees, books and supplies, and room and board after all other grants, scholarships, and financial awards have been applied. This scholarship is exclusively for full-time undergraduate students at Emporia State University, Fort Hays State University, or Wichita State University. To remain eligible for the scholarship, students must meet the renewal criteria outlined below. Selection is based on a candidate's potential for academic success at the collegiate level, graduation within four years, and their commitment to becoming a productive and contributing member of their chosen profession, community, and society as a whole.

To be a Rudd Scholar, students must meet the following requirements:
Rudd Scholars, relieved of the financial pressure of higher education, are encouraged to fully engage in campus life and experience all that college has to offer. They regularly convene as a cohort at Foundation-sponsored events throughout the year, encountering remarkable speakers, participating in exceptional activities, and attending events that transcend the traditional classroom. These experiences equip them for post-graduate success, shaping them for a dynamic future. Scholars also have the chance to forge connections with leaders in their chosen fields, build relationships with fellow Scholars, and contribute to the success of future generations through an active and interconnected alumni association after graduation.
