The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Taiwan Fellowship Program for 2024 is now accepting applications. This fellowship, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), is open to international students from around the world who wish to study in Taiwan.
The **Fully Funded Fellowship** program aims to recognize international experts and scholars who are passionate about researching topics related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, the Asia-Pacific region, and science. The Taiwan Fellowship Program provides **12 fellowship opportunities** specifically designed for applicants, scholars, and aspiring APEC economists. To be eligible, candidates must be foreign nationals holding positions such as professors, associate professors, assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or students enrolled in doctoral programs at foreign universities within relevant fields.
Fellowship durations range from **3 to 12 months**. Applications for the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship are accepted in May and June of each year. Successful applicants will commence their research in Taiwan in early January of the following year.
The Taiwan Fellowship program, a continuation of the APEC Scholarship Initiative, has welcomed **934 scholars from 78 countries** to date. Each year, the program offers **12 Chinese Taipei APEC Fellowships** to scholars and experts working to advance the development of APEC economies. Financial Benefits:
- The monthly grant is disbursed at the start of each month.
- For one Professor, Associate Professor, Research Fellow, or Associate Research Fellow, the grant is NT$60,000.
- For Assistant Professors, Assistant Research Fellows, or Doctoral Candidates, the grant is NT$50,000.
- A round-trip economy class ticket for the most direct route to Taiwan is provided (MOFA will determine the subsidy based on applicable regulations).
