The MCW Young Leaders Fellowship Program:
The MCW Global Young Leaders Fellowship kicks off with a comprehensive community needs assessment. This month-long community mapping process engages young people aged 18-26 from across the globe, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of their local communities. Following the assessment, young leaders embark on a month-long intensive virtual program designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to become catalysts for positive change within their communities. Post-virtual learning, participants dedicate 10 months to meticulously developing their action plans, receiving invaluable guidance and support from seasoned alumni mentors.
Eligibility Criteria:
To apply online for the MCW Young Leaders Fellowship Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Show dedication to their community.
- Recognize a problem within their community related to education, health, or economic well-being.
- Be between the ages of **18 and 26** at the program's start (**June 1, 2024**).
- Be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Commit to participating in the **Community Needs Assessment in June**, attending the 10-day in-person program in July, and dedicating the subsequent year to implementing their community project.
- Have **reliable access to email and the internet** for consistent communication with the MCW Global Team and Young Leaders Fellowship alumni-mentor throughout the year-long program.
- Abide by Young Leaders Fellowship graduation guidelines (provided upon acceptance into the program).
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Be eligible for **necessary visa and travel documentation**.
- Submit a **fully completed application** on or before Friday, **November 13, 2023**, 11:59 PM (NYC EST time).
