The Hungarian Government Scholarship in Europe covers the following:
The Hungarian Government funds all of the aforementioned costs. This is based on the Agreement established between FAO and Hungary in 2007.
This scholarship provides financial assistance for the student's expenses only. It does not extend coverage to family members.

The selection of candidates for the Hungarian Government Scholarship will be determined by the following criteria:

Applicants interested in the Hungarian Government Scholarship should prepare a dossier and send it via email to REU-Scholarship@fao.org . The dossier should include the following:
All documents submitted must be in **English**. We will not accept documents submitted in any other language. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that all documents are properly translated and certified by a qualified authority. Each document should be saved with a clear and descriptive file name.
The scholarship selection process outlined below pertains to scholarships commencing in September 2020. Student selection will be conducted in two stages:
Phase 1: FAO will pre-screen candidates and submit applications to the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary. The Ministry will then forward these applications to the corresponding University as chosen by the applicants. It is crucial that students submit only COMPLETE dossiers, as incomplete dossiers will not be considered. Additionally, files without names will not be processed.
Phase 2: Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo a written or oral English proficiency assessment as part of the admission process. Participating Universities will conduct a subsequent selection procedure and notify each successful candidate. The final selection of students will be made solely by the Universities, without any involvement from FAO. Selected students will also receive notification from the Ministry.
