Financial Benefits:
The Google Lime Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year will provide financial assistance to selected students. Recipients will receive a scholarship award of $10,000 USD for students studying in the United States or $5,000 CAD for students studying in Canada.
Required Documents:
- Provide general background information, including your contact details and information about your current and intended universities.
- Submit your resume or CV.
- Include academic transcripts from your current and previous institutions if you have earned a prior degree.
- Write three essays to demonstrate your passion for computer science.
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a professor, advisor, or supervisor. The application deadline requires the names and email addresses of your references, while the letters of recommendation themselves are due one week later.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Students of any nationality are welcome to apply.
- Applicants with a visible or invisible disability are encouraged to apply. This includes individuals with a long-term or recurring problem affecting one or more daily activities. We acknowledge that a significant portion of disabilities are not readily apparent, and we welcome candidates with all disabilities.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled as undergraduate students at a university in the US or Canada. This includes freshman/first-year students and international students studying in the US or Canada.
- Applicants must be continuing their studies at a university in the US or Canada during the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Applicants must be pursuing a degree in computer science or computer engineering, or a closely related technical field such as software engineering or electrical engineering with a substantial computer science course load.
- Applicants must maintain strong academic performance.
- Applicants should demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment and passion for computer science and technology.
- Previous Google Lime Scholars are unfortunately not eligible for this scholarship.
- This scholarship is not open to current high school students.
