The Czech Government Scholarship 2024 is a fully funded scholarship program designed for international students. The following expenses are covered by the scholarship:

  • This scholarship covers the full tuition fee.
  • The scholarship program covers essential expenses for living and studying in the Czech Republic.
  • Monthly Stipend:
  • Master's degree: CZK 14,000 (approximately EUR 545)
  • PhD degree: CZK 15,000 (approximately EUR 585)
  • Scholarship recipients are responsible for covering expenses related to accommodation, food, and public transportation using the provided monthly stipend.

Required Documents:

When invited for an interview, applicants must submit the following documents to the embassy:

  • You must complete and download the application form for the Czech Republic Government Scholarship. (Print this form after completing and submitting the online application.)
  • Submit your latest CV, focusing on your education and work experience.
  • Provide a photocopy of your passport.
  • Download and sign the Declaration of Acceptance of the Czech Republic Government Scholarship Terms and Conditions.
  • Download and sign the declaration of acceptance of the terms and conditions related to the provision of health services.
  • Upon your return to your home country after completing your studies, you must download and sign a confirmation of your return.
  • Provide a legal copy of your birth certificate, translated into the Czech language by a certified translator.
  • Submit a medical certificate confirming that you are in good health. This certificate must be no older than two months and translated into English or Czech by a certified translator.
  • Provide legalized copies of your degrees, diplomas, or certificates, translated into the Czech language by a sworn translator/interpreter listed in the list of experts and interpreters in the Czech Republic.
  • Provide a legal copy of your diploma supplement or a complete list of lectures and exams including their scope and grades (numbers), translated into the Czech language.

Important: Doctoral program applicants are required to submit supplemental documentation, including the following.

  • A comprehensive summary of your publishing history and academic contributions.
  • A detailed outline of the specific areas of expertise you aim to explore within the doctoral program.
  • A well-developed thesis proposal, outlining your research focus and direction (3 to 5 pages in length).
  • Two letters of recommendation from esteemed professors at accredited academic institutions.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Czech Republic Scholarship for the 2024/25 academic year, applicants must meet the following requirements.

  • To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be citizens and nationals of the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Zambia.
  • Students selected for the Master's degree scholarship can choose to study in either Czech or English.
  • Applicants opting to study in the Czech Republic must complete a one-year language preparation course before commencing their studies.
  • Those who prefer to pursue a Master's degree in English must provide proof of adequate English language proficiency.
  • PhD programs are exclusively conducted in English, requiring applicants to demonstrate sufficient English language skills.
  • Applicants for a Master's study program must have successfully completed a Bachelor's study program by the time of application.
  • Candidates applying for the doctoral study program must have finished their Master's study program by the time of application.
  • All applicants for the Czech Republic Government Scholarship are required to take the online entrance English language test (if they intend to study in English) during the application process.
